About Me

I'm Lara! I am a Canadian student, educator, and seeker of knowledge. After living and learning at Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem for the past two years, I've begun my rabbinical studies with the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. I believe that we can't really connect to our people, and therefore to ourselves, if we don't feel a sense of ownership over our stories. I also believe that the Jewish people will be better for having heard our voices. As I discover the depth of Jewish text, ritual, and spiritual practice, I look forward to sharing my favourite lessons here for my family, friends, and anyone else who is interested in following me on this journey.
